Meet Julie Cook - APRN, FNP-BC
Julie Cook is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who has specialized in women’s care for the past two decades. Julie, previously a long term employee of Logan Health -Northwest Women’s Health Care is committed to empowering women in their healthcare and well being.
A Nurse Practitioner is a nurse who has advanced clinical education and training which is applied to examine patients, diagnose illnesses, and subsequently provide treatment.
In order to promote and empower individualized health, Mountain View Women’s Care places emphasis on longer patient visits and personalized care. This approach, coupled with a calming space, deepens the provider/patient relationship. Come find out what compassionate individualized patient care is all about.
A Note From Julie:
I started my nursing career after graduating from University of Wisconsin Madison. At this time I worked mostly in ICU settings as a registered nurse until I decided to further my education and obtain my master’s degree from Montana State University to become a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
My first position as an FNP was in a busy family practice working in both continuity and urgent care roles. I then felt compelled to specialize in women's care and joined the team at Northwest Women’s Healthcare in 2006 where I was steadfast and committed to the practice for 18 years.
After much thought and soul searching I decided to leave Logan Health and open my own women’s care practice. I am inspired to apply my knowledge of women’s health and past experience to continue to provide personalized care for women in a private office setting.
Outside of work my husband and I enjoy all the things the Flathead Valley has to offer including hiking, music, social community gatherings, and skiing in the winter months.
We have two grown daughters and a sweet old dog named Georgia.
